Course Prerequisite: NRA Personal Protection In The Home-Student Course
Course Description:
This course teaches the student the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations. It prepares the student for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home.
Course Topics:

Essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation

Presentation from concealment to multiple shooting positions
-
Proper mindset
-
Review of safe firearms handling
-
Use of a quality strong side hip holster/purse holster that covers the trigger

Equipment Needed:

600 rounds (approximately) (Reloads/Re-manufactured Ammunition not allowed)

Carry Firearm with owner's manual

Dummy rounds or snap caps
-
Ear protection
-
Extra magazines/speed loaders with appropriate belt pouches

Eye Protection
-
Firearm mounted light or other appropriate carry flashlight Holster/fanny pack

Jacket or over garment, such as, over shirt, or light jacket

Knee & Elbow Pads (Strongly Recommended)

Shooters mat or car mats (Recommended)

Solid holster belt
-
Valid Driver's License or Government Issued Identification
